LIBRARY CARDS
- First card issued is free to Calhoun County
residents.
- Calhoun County residents must show positive ID with
their current home address. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Driver's license
- Checkbook
- Current utility bill
- Letter with a current month postmark
- Non-Calhoun County residents must show positive ID
with their current home address and pay an annual fee of $25.00 per year unless
a current ID (with an expiration date) is
shown verifying the person either:
- Works in Calhoun County
- Is enrolled in a Calhoun County school
- Has a current property tax receipt from Calhoun
County
- Children's cards are issued to children if:
- Parent/legal guardian accompanies the child to sign
the application card
- The parent/legal guardian shows a positive ID with
their current permanent home address
LOST/DAMAGED CARDS
- First replacement card is free
- $2.00 replacement charge for lost or damaged card
exceeding the first free replacement
CHECKOUT LIMITS PER CARD
- 15 Adult books
- 10 Children's books
- 5 Audios
- 2 DVDs
CHECKOUT PERIOD
- All books and audios check out for two weeks.
- DVDs check out for one week.
FINES
- $.20 per day per book/audio, up to a maximum of $2.00
per item.
- $1.00 per day per DVD, up to a maximum of
$5.00 per item.
RENEWALS
- Renew by phone (256-237-8501)
- Renew Online through the Library's Catalog using
your library card number and pin number.
- Two week renewal for books and
audios. One week renewal for DVDs. If...
- Item is not on hold for another patron
- The patrons record is not barred/blocked
- Item may only be renewed three (3) times.
DAMAGED/LOST ITEM
- Patrons will be charged the cost of any lost or
damaged items.
